This meeting our technical focus in on Pre-Production--or what happens before a film gets made, the planning and deal-making phase.  Here it's the story and character of L.B. Jefferies (Jimmy Stewart).  What does it tell us about Jeff that his attention seem more focused on his neighbors than his own apartment and the problems it contains?  Further, do they have any connection (in our view rather than Jeff's) with Jeff's problems?

Here's a visual overview of film production--and the order of the cinematic elements as we'll cover them.
